Eats Media was founded in 2002 as a black and white neighborhood restaurant guide in Murray Hill, NYC. The guide has since expanded to additional neighborhoods in New York City as well as Miami and Washington D.C. Eats Magazine's full color glossy guides have grown to define the dining-out lifestyle. In addition, Eats publishes officially licensed college guides for 12 universities including Yale, Columbia, George Washington and the University of Miami.
As the Eats brand has grown, we have recognized a tremendous opportunity for growth online. Over the past year, Eats.com has expanded its information and data to include 40,000 restaurants in 125 cities and colleges across the country. For more than a year the newly created Eats.com remained in beta form to gain an understanding of user trends. On April 1st 2008, the beta came off and Eats.com was officially launched as the ultimate social networking site for dining enthusiasts.
Since launch, Eats has received accolades in many of the nations most popular media sources including The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Yahoo and CBS TV.
Eats Media's Mission is to become the premier social network and information source for dining enthusiasts worldwide
