Does anyone know of good restaurants in Anaheim? I'll be there on a conference for one week.

There are many options in and around Anaheim and the surrounding cities.  If you have the means to get around, some of the best spots are a few miles away. Brian is from the area and he helped me out picking out the best places:

Gabbi’s Mexican Kitchen - Diverse menu is rich with Spanish, Indian and greater-European influences reflecting the broad nature of Mexican Mestizo Gastronomy.  Get there early, as there is always a line/wait…

Citrus City Grille – Not exactly Anaheim, but this is a few miles away depending on where you might be staying in Anaheim.

The Lazy Dog Café – Right near Anaheim Stadium, behind the Mighty Ducks Arena. Eclectic menu, cozy yet cosmopolitan design.  These are the owners of the ever popularchain in California, Mimi’s Café.

Since you are already in the area, might as well go to a Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball game - The stadium is right there, easy to get to/park and the stadium is new andbeautiful.  While it’s not a Dodger Dog, there is nothing like a baseball game in SoCal with beautiful weather, hot dogs and beer!

Tourist Dining:

Disneyland is right there and they have 100’s of restaurants around the area.  Tons of good ones, but would avoid at all costs due to foot traffic.  A better bet, and more known to the local’s is Knott’s Berry Farm theme park, maker of Knott’s Jams and Jellies.  The is a restaurant there that is worth visiting and famous, Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant.  This might be some of the best fried chicken you will ever have.

Take-out/Fast Food Type:

There are a few staples in California that I think are amust to stop by whenever you have the chance.

The first is In-N-Out Burger.  While not exactly considered fast food, it is considered to be one of the best "fast food" hamburgers in the world.  There are only three items on the menu, while the off menu ordering is something of a cult classic.  There are twospots in and around Anaheim; (600 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim, CA) & (1180 SHarbor Blvd, Fullerton, CA)

The other is Wahoo’s Fish Taco’s.   The best Wahoo’s to go to, if you want to drive about 20 minutes, is the one in Surf City USA, Huntington Beach, right on Main St.  It is a sight to see, and there arealso tons of great nightlife, and day time activities around here.  Justwatching the pro volley ballers and pro surfers while you eat that fish taco makes it worth it.  If you don’t want to travel, there is one on the border of Anaheim at: (444 N Harbor Blvd, Fullerton, CA)
