Middle EasternThis best kept San Fran secret won't stay a hidden gem for long with its Middle Eastern menu featuring dishes spanning from Palestine to Syria, Iraq to Morocco, so check it out before the Fattoush hype sets in. Sample one of the many lamb dishes infused with Middle Eastern spice and flare like the Palestinian mansaf: lamb cooked in aged yogurt with rice, roasted almonds and pine nuts. If your in the mood for a larger, more satisfying meal, add $12 to any of the dishes, making it a feast that comes with plenty of sides, a tea selection and dessert as well. ~E.M

Fattoush
Reviewed on Wednesday, 18 July 2007
When I lived in San Fran, I used to come here all the time. I'm big on flavors...I really hate the bland stuff, so when I came to fattoush (which is the name of one of their salads) I was very satisfied. I came for the fattoush salad and one of the lamb dishes (I can't remember the name now). I'm surprised that it's so easy to just walk in and be seated though. Judging by the quality of the food (very high) you'd think that this placae would be packed 24/7.
