An accolade winner not just in America, but of native Thai awards as well. Perhaps San Francisco's best bet for Thai, Marnee Thai has surprising value, unassuming aesthetics and mind-bending food. The creamy duck curry is exceptional, as are (weirdly) the chicken wings. Marnee has been collecting praise since 1993 and, over a decade later, there's no reason to believe a drop-off is imminent.
