Top Spot for Italian Beef

Al's #1 Beef is legendary in Chicago, and for good reason. They serve up on of my favorite italian beef sandwiches. The beef is sliced very thin; you could call it shaved. It's loaded up on the sandwich and you should always get it dipped. The sausage and fries are also very good offerings.
Al's has been around for the longest time and is in the Italian area of Taylor St. There's no seating, but there are counters for standing and eating inside. Service is good enough for what it is. Al's has been franchising for a while now, but I haven't visited other locations to be able to comment on quality control.
