I came here for: Casual meal
This is the best Thai food I've ever had. Even since I have been living in New York, I have yet to find Thai food that beats P.S. Bangkok. The restaurant itself is a tiny, hole-in-the-wall type of place, but the service is so friendly, and the food is consistently great. There are so many things that I love here, and I always order a bunch of dishes for the table and eat them family-style so that everyone can get a taste of everything.

The Crispy Crab Cream (crab rangoon) is incredible, and we always end up ordering an extra order because the first goes so fast. The wontons are always perfectly crispy and thin (never chewy or soggy like at some places) and are filled with a nice amount of crab and cream cheese. They also have an appetizer that they call P.S. Tacos; it's one of their signature dishes, and I haven't been able to find it at any other Thai place. The taco shell is a crispy spring roll, and it is filled with sauteed ground shrimp and chicken with roasted coconut and bean sprouts. Just thinking about the sweet and spicy combination makes my mouth water. My favorite entree is the Chicken Pud See Ewe. I love that you can order your noodles soft or crispy (which is also something you don't have the option of doing at other Thai restaurants). I definitely recommend the pud see ewe with crispy noodles, but I like the pad-thai better with soft noodles.

Every time I go back to Chicago, I go out of my way to make sure I visit P.S. Bangkok 2. (I've never been to the original one on Clark, but I hear it's pretty good). To top it off, this place is BYOB and their prices are really inexpensive! Definitely the place to go for an authentic, cheap, delicious meal.
