MexicanEl Pelon serves authentic Mexican cuisine from its tiny space on Peterborough St. The burrito is perhaps the best item on the menu. Everything is made to order which necessitates your waiting in line, but its really worth it. The burritos are huge and definitely a meal in themselves. Also good are their chips and salsa.

BEST BURRITO EVER

While at BU I was forced to make a decision, to answer the question you are SURE to be posed if you have ever lived in Boston--who makes the best burrito? El Pelon hands down. I used to come here about three times a week, and the burrito NEVER FAILS to make you feel better whether you're nursing a hangover or just plain hungry. I LOVE the chicken with extra extra hot sauce guacamole and beans. Its just so good....
