mmmm vodka

Although a bit pricey on the drinks ($10.00 for a plastic cup of vodka and soda water) the atmosphere cant be beat. situated on a large flat of sand directly across from mid town, one gets unparalleled views from the east side of well..the east river. The music was a bit wack the night we went, but it was still a blast, wasn't crazy crowded either. Cant beat partying, then taking a boat back across the river. Bam!

mmmm burger

Water Taxi Beach is a great place to go in the summer. It is one stop away from Grand Central on the 7 line, or right at the water taxi stop from E. 34th street. There is a lot of sand, picnic tables, and 2 volleyball courts. Plus, the burger is pretty awesome. It isn't fancy, but it's cooked well and really flavorful. The best part about it is that it is only $5--try finding a burger that good for that price in Manhattan.
