I came here for: Casual meal

The most adorably retro restaurant I've seen in New York. Decorated to look kind of a like a classic 50s/60s diner but with tons more seating, Chat 'n' Chew is just as casual, unpretentious, and inviting as it sounds. The no-fuss American menu features lots of oversized sandwiches/burgers for around $10 and comfort food like mac and cheese and meat loaf. It's an ideal late-night haunt where you can gab with friends over fries and chew over the movie you just saw in nearby Union Square.
