The best japaneese in NY

no matter what they all say, its still the best sushi restaurant in the country. So many items are mouthwatering, you can't believe it. New style sashimi - beef or whitefish is amazing. Rock Shrimp tempura, tuna tataki and so many more, its just a great meal period.

I brought a girl I really liked here and now she's my wife, thanks Nobu. All kidding aside (though we did get married), the restaurant is world class in all aspects and a dinner here will put you on your way towards or capstone a great NYC experience if you´re visiting (I´m a legitimate Yankee in case you´re wondering or doubting me).
I agree with the other review I've read that you should sample around the menu. You'll be able to order the best of everything. Your dinner will be great. The drinks are excellent as well, which is good because you´ll likely have a wait there before getting a table upstairs unless you´re cool and tough.
The atmosphere is dark, modern, and not overwhelmingly Japanese though you will know what type of restaurant it is. The server was prompt and accurate.
