2nd Ave Deli was a big part of my life growing up. Family gatherings would begin with my Dad and Uncle would walking in with boxes filled with cold cuts, rye bread, pickled tomatoes, Russian dressing, the works, and the chopped liver.
I was devastated when they closed and, so happy that they have reopened!
The food was as excellent as I remember it, the best challah ever, and the familiar aroma brought back many childhood memories.
All in all a very enjoyable experience.
