I have some bad news for everyone: Samalita's was unfortunately closed a couple months ago ;( BUT there is some light at the end of this very long and sad and treacherous tunnel: I heard that they are coming back, but moving to either york or 1st ave!!
If and when they return to us (because the world really isn't the same without them), please please please order the nachos picadillo. IT iS SO GOOD!!! picadillo, for those who don't know is a mixture of beef and pork (possibly chorizo) prepared with Mexican spices and yumminess.They are literally the best nachos that I have ever had and I was devestated when I called up one day for delivery and the number had been mysteriously disconnected.
