I came here for: Casual meal
I was up near Columbia the other day and I remembered having read that Bill Clinton frequented this little spot when he was in New York (makes sense that Bill would love authentic southern cuisine). I was starving, and figured what better time to give it a shot. I went in and was greeted by Miss Norma (the sweetest restaurant owner I have ever met). I asked her what was good, and she started listing lots of different things from the menu that she thought I might like. I ended up going with what I knew would be awesome and ordered the fried chicken. It was succulent to say the least. I started by trying to just use my fork and knife, but as is often the case with fried chicken I ended up just ripping it apart with my fingers to access the hard to reach meat. The potato salad was really good too...different, but really tasty. I got the mac and cheese as my second side dish and what a surprise. If you´ve ever had real mac and cheese then you will know what to expect from this place...if not, then go and try it because it will blow your mind. Even though I was pretty full by the end of the meal Miss Norma told me I should try the peach cobbler, and who am I to refuse desert? Needless to say I finished the whole thing and walked out of there stuffed to the brim.
Tell us some details
