Since opening its doors in the heart of Manhattan’s West Village in
May 2008, Cabrito has been serving up authentic Mexican fare,
innovative cocktails and an all around good time. Inspired by his
childhood in the American Southwest and love for Mexican flavors, Chef
David Schuttenberg has created an outstanding seasonal and
product-driven menu featuring traditional dishes and inspired twists on
Mexican classics. This winter, diners can expect to feast on braised
Pork Belly Tacos, hearty Pozole with spare ribs in red chili and hominy
stew and traditional Mole Poblano with freshly made corn tortillas, in
addition to the year round classics: Carnitas, Carne Enchilada Cemitas
and Cabrito, of course!
Allan Katz, Cabrito’s resident
mixologist, provides the perfect cocktail pairings for Chef
Schuttenberg’s menu. In addition to thirst quenching margaritas and
sangria, the bar list offers over forty tequilas, ten varieties of
mezcal and several original cocktails, custom tailored to match
Cabrito’s bold, flavorful and often spicy palate.
