Le Gigot is a gem. Run by a couple - chef and manager duo - this is one of my favorite places in all of the city, especially for French food. This isn't nouvelle cuisine. Instead, it is French comfort food. The oysters here are so very fresh - not even Aquagrill can compete. The carrot soup, which is not cream based - is so lush, you will be surprised that it does not have a drop of cream. Also delicious is the lobster risotto. What finishes off the perfect food experience is the service that is friendly, intelligent and attentive. It's a wonderful dining experience overall - I have returned over and over again.
