An older crowd of well-heeled Austinites and lovers of French gourmet cuisine frequent this upscale restaurant, fittingly located in a charming little yellow country house just west of downtown. Dim lighting, bouquets of fresh flowers and upstanding service add to the ambiance, creating a romantic and elegant setting that is to be expected from a French fine dining experience. Stuffy, old world French dinner

I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate an anniversary. We were both looking forward to the meal and though the food was quite good we were overall we weren't floored by the restaurant, which for the price we were paying, we should have been. The spot is very romantic and the service was good, but we were some of the youngest people in the restaurant. I like being taken out to elegant meals just as much as the next girl but this place was a little stuffy and pretentious, and I can see why it generally caters to an older crowd. We enjoyed everything we ate but I think the meal was way overpriced. The restaurant is good for what it is but it wasn't really our style.
