MexicanThere may be a lot of Mexican restaurants in Houston, but this sophisticated Montrose-area hot spot brings a lot more to the table than fajitas and chips n' salsa. Tracy Vaught and renowned chef Hugo Ortega (of Mockingbird Cafe fame) have succeeded in grabbing the attention of Houston foodies with an inspired menu that features exotic ingredients, bold flavors, and unique combinations. The spacious two-tiered dining area has a contemporary design that maintains a rustic warmth with colorful tiles, bright red and yellow accents and dark wooden tables. Whatever the occasion, Hugo's is sure to impress and help redefine your impression of Mexican cuisine. MC

What a delicious occasion!

My family organized a pre-graduation lunch here for me and it was absolutely amazing! There were about eight or ten of us and the staff was very accommodating- we were seated right away and we did not have to wait long for anything. The decor inside is really cool too, modern but still cozy and relaxed considering its more of a fine dining place. The food was also excellent, we all ordered a bunch of different appetizers and plates to share, they were so good its hard to pick a favorite. Can't wait to go back!
