American,Vegan/VegetarianThis artsy cafe fits seamlessly into Montrose's hipster scene but don't write this place off as a just some average hippie watering hole. Serving much more than just a good cup of coffee, Brasil surprises with impressive sandwiches, pizzas and salads- not to mention their delectable pastries and desserts. The relaxed space is decorated with local artwork on the walls and even boasts a charming outdoor patio covered in foliage making an Amazon forest-like barrier between the restaurant and the street. Also, don't forget to check their performance schedule as the cafe often hosts varied bands and musicians at night. MC

My favorite sandwich in Houston
Reviewed on Monday, 16 July 2007
I am obsessed with the cafe!! I've been coming here since high school and it has never let me down. I pretty much always order the same thing every time I come here because it is that good. The tomato and mozzerella sandwich is so huge I can barely get it all in one bite, and I love the bread...my friends swear by the greek salad and the pizzas too. I've also come here for brunch before and the eggs benedict were to die for. I love coming here when it's warm (which, in Houston, is pretty much all the time) because their patio is really nice and relaxing. I've also eaten there when they have live music playing, which makes it really fun especially if you're with a group of friends. If you haven't already you should really try this place!
